Beginning April 2012, Community Connections will have a new name, look, and broader content.
Marathon County government is committed to building our community. The work of community building spans a diverse array of policy issues. Some of the issues visibly touch residents’ lives and others are not quite so visible.

The Community Connections newsletter began as a way to communicate policy issues that were before the Environmental Resources Committee of the Marathon County Board of Supervisors. It was originally targeted to municipal officials.
The Marathon County Board leadership saw Community Connections as an opportunity by which Marathon County government would live its commitment to be transparent and accountable to the public and the taxpayer. Therefore, Marathon County Board leadership has expanded the scope of the newsletter to all areas of county government.
Beginning in 2012, on a quarterly basis, Marathon County will publish the newsletter on the county website. The newsletter will contain timely information about the issues being discussed and worked on by Marathon County government.
