In 2006, an agreement between Marathon County and American Transmission Company (ATC) concerning construction of the Arrowhead-Weston Transmission Line in Marathon County resulted in establishment of a dedicated fund (Environmental Impact Funds), for the purposes of funding nonrecurring special projects of an environmental nature.
