The Wausau MPO uses the Public Participation Plan to conduct its public outreach in the development of the long-range transportation plan, transportation improvement program (TIP), and other MPO planning documents.

The Public Participation Plan for the Marathon County Metropolitan Planning Commission and Wausau MPO is planned to be updated in 2012.

The Marathon County Metropolitan Planning Commission adopted the Wausau MPO Public Participation Plan on August 14, 2008.
