The County Clerk's Office processes U.S. Passport applications.  Office hours for passport applications are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. 

The County Clerk's Office can also take Passport Photos.  The charge is $10.

To obtain a passport you need to provide proof of U.S. citizenship (i.e. certified birth certificate or naturalization certificate) and a valid form of photo identification such as a driver’s license. 

Effective July 13, 2010 the fees for Passport Books are as follows:

• Age 16 and over - $110 check or money order payable to "U.S. Department of State" plus a separate $25 execution fee payable to "Marathon County Clerk"
• Under Age 16 - $80 check or money order payable to "U.S. Department of State" plus a separate $25 execution fee payable to "Marathon County Clerk"

Passport Cards are also available.  This card is not for travel by air.  It is valid for land and sea crossings between the U.S. and Canada, Mexico, Bermuda and the Caribbean only.  The cost is $30 for ages 16 and over; $15 under age 16.  (PLUS the $25 counter fee)
