The Wausau and Marathon County Parks, Recreation, and Forestry Department is now home to two disc golf courses; One in Memorial Park in the City of Wausau, the other in Big Eau Pleine County Park, located 9 miles southwest of Mosinee.
Big Eau Pleine Park Disc Golf Course:
Update July 1, 2019: Due to a disc golf tournament, the Big Eau Pleine Disc Golf Course will be closed to the public all day on Saturday and Sunday, July 27 and 28, 2019.

There is a self-registration station at the begining of the course. Complete form and pay the appropriate fee. Daily pass entitles you to play the course as often as you like that day. Annual passes will be mailed by the Park Administrative Office upon receipt of the $30 fee. Be sure to print clearly so that the pass can be mailed to you.
Big Eau Pleine Park, the largest County Park in our park system is home to an 18 hole, 6,750 foot course that offers a mix of open and wooded holes. The course is located in the west unit of the park, adjacent to the family campground. Once in the west unit of the park, take the first left which is located just past the entrance to the family campground and look for the information kiosk on the left. An initial practice hole is located on the north side of the kiosk which then leads you to the first hole. Enjoy a relaxing round of disc golf and you stand a fair chance of spotting some wildlife along the way.
Memorial Park Disc Golf Course:
This course is open for 2019 use. This short, open course provides a beautiful view of Lake Wausau throughout it's nine holes, with water obstacles challenging players on 4 holes. For a hole by hole course descriptioin click here. Here is a map and score card for the Memorial Disc Golf Course.
There is no charge to play disc golf at Memorial Park.
