Marathon County is in the process of creating a Hazard Mitigation Plan, in accordance with Federal Emergency Management (FEMA) directives. The plan will be county-wide, with specific mitigation efforts and plans for 16 incorporated jurisdictions to be included. The Marathon County Emergency Management Office is responsible for leading this effort.
