County Road F in the Town of Holton will be under construction from State Highway 29 to the County Line. Work is scheduled to begin on Saturday July 9th. Crews plan to recycle the existing pavement using a process called Cold In-Place Recycling. This recycling is scheduled for July 9th through July 15th. The recycled product will cure for 7-14 days before the final layer of asphalt pavement can be placed. New gravel shoulders will be placed after paving is completed. Work is anticipated to be completed by August 12th.
The placement of the final layer of hot mix asphalt was scheduled to begin July 28th. Due to recent rain, this paving has been postponed to Monday August 1st. Paving should be completed by August 5th and pavement marking will be scheduled for the week of August 8th.
During construction, the road will be posted as "Road Closed - Local Traffic Only". Access will be maintained to all businesses and residents during construciton. Drivers should expect delays and should use alternate routes when possible. A detour route will not be posted during construction.
