The Following segments of County Highways are scheduled to be sealed beginning on Wednesday July 13th.
- County Road A from State Highway 107 to County Road K
- County Road O from County Road U to County Road A
The sealing operations will include the application of a chip seal, followed by a fog seal and finally pavement markings. The chip seal consists of a layer of asphaltic oil covered by a layer of 1/4" stones. This stage is anticipated to take 3-4 days with dry weather to complete.
After the chip seal is applied, crews will come back and cover the chip seal with a fog seal. The fog seal consists of a thin layer of asphaltic oil to secure and improve the performance of the chip seal. This stage is anticipated to take 1-2 days with dry weather to complete.
The roadway will then "cure" for approximately 7-14 days before pavement markings will be replaced. During the sealing operations, access will be maintained for local residents and businesses. Drivers should expect delays, dust and loose stones on the driving surface. Please use alternate routes when possible.
