Working in the Marathon County Sheriff’s Office Communications Division is always a challenge as our Communications Officers move from non-emergency to emergency calls for service throughout their shifts. The talent we have in the Communications Center is beyond measure, but we are always looking for new members and what they can bring to our Office. On March 11, 2019, we added two new Communications Officers, Alora Koval and Danica Finup.
Alora is a DC Everest High School graduate and continued her education at Rasmussen College where she obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in the Criminal Investigation program. Living in Marathon County all her life, Alora has a grasp on what law enforcement has daily encountered here in Marathon County.
Danica Finup is from Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin and a graduate of Nekoosa High School. Danica furthered her education studying criminal justice in Ely, Minnesota and here at Northcentral Technical College. Danica has other family members committed to public service in the law enforcement field. Danica’s sister is a 911 Communications Officer at another Communications Center and her stepfather retired as a Sheriff from another Sheriff’s Office.
Welcome to Alora and Danica as they begin their service to Marathon County.
