Marathon County Parks and Recreation Public Meeting on April 30

Marathon County, WI. - The Marathon County Parks, Recreation & Forestry Department is conducting a survey of park and recreational facilities in Marathon County. The purpose of the survey is to gather general feedback regarding the use and condition of existing County parks and the desire for new park and recreational facilities. Information from the survey will be used as part of the process to update the County’s 5-Year Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan. The survey will be available through April 14, 2019. Online responses are preferred; however, hard copies of the survey are also available at the County Parks Department, 212 River Drive, Suite 2, Wausau. Please return completed surveys to the County Parks Department.

Please save the date! The Parks Department is holding a “Plan to Play” public involvement meeting on Tuesday April 30th at 6:00 PM at the Marathon County Public Library – Wausau Headquarters (300 N. First St.) in the Community Room. The purpose of the meeting is to review the results of the community survey and obtain additional feedback on desired park and recreation improvements within the County’s park system. Note this meeting is not sponsored by the Marathon County Public Library. Check the Department’s Announcement website for official meeting confirmation.
