Summary:
ZONING DEPARTMENT, James Burgener, Administrator. The Department issues zoning, sanitary and other permits which are required by the County's zoning, shoreland, private sewage system, airport, subdivision, nonmetallic mining and other ordinances. These ordinances are enforced in those areas of the County where they have been duly adopted. The Surveyor's office is located in the Zoning Department. The surveyor replaces the original surveyor markers or re-establishes them and records tie sheets for the markers. The office keeps records of private surveys which are performed in the County.
