Marathon County has some of the best trails in Wisconsin, the landowners and snowmobile club's make it happen!

Please remember that this website is NOT updated every day and is updated when there are significant changes in trail conditions to report. This website is your BEST source for current Marathon County trail condition information. Check this site for any further updates. For more information, please contact the Parks, Recreation, and Forestry Departmentat 715-261-1550.

55 MPH is the night time speed limit everywhere in Wisconsin.

ATV riders are reminded to check a current map to see if the trails they want to use are open to ATV’s.  IMPORTANT - ATVs are prohibited on any winter trail when the air temperature is above 28 degrees F.  The Mountain-Bay Trail is closed to ATVs at all times.

Please remember that the trail system would not be there without the cooperation of landowners, leaving a designated trail and/or snowmobiling on someone’s property without permission is TRESPASSING.

Utility Terrain Vehicles (UTV's):  All Marathon snowmobile trails are closed to UTV’s.  UTV’s are not all-terrain vehicles and do not meet the statutory definition for an ATV.
