Topic:  Comprehensive Planning

Marathon County and most of its 62 municipalities have adopted Comprehensive Plans through a massive cooperative effort. The Conservation, Planning, and Zoning Department is responsible for leading this planning effort and providing assistance to the Environmental Resources Committee and participating municipalities during the development, adoption and implementation of the resulting comprehensive plans. The County and municipalities have begun implementation of the Comprehensive Plans through changes to ordinances, policies and work programs.
